Rainclouds and adverse winds failed to prevent Alex Cataford from setting a new course record on the Appleton Road. Alex Cataford posted a 20:23 ride, beating Jordan Smith's 1994-May-03 time by 53 seconds. Alex was supported by a field of five other riders, all of whom managed to finish before the clouds broke.
